It is with great sadness that the Assiniboine Park Conservancy mourns the passing of well known Winnipeg wildlife painter, Clarence Tillenius. A talented and devoted artist, Clarence contributed to our Canadian heritage through his art and never relinquished his efforts to capture on canvas the fascinating world of wildlife.

International Polar Bear Conservation Centre (IPBCC) Officially Opens at Assiniboine Park Zoo

Today, the Assiniboine Park Conservancy officially opened the International Polar Bear Conservation Centre (IPBCC) located within the Assiniboine Park Zoo. As a key component of the new 10-acre Journey to Churchill exhibit currently under construction, the IPBCC will be a centre of global influence in the field of polar bear research and conservation.

Star Conservatory Restaurant at Assiniboine Park to Close as of Sunday, January 22nd

January 19, 2012

The Star Conservatory Restaurant, located within the Assiniboine Park Conservatory, will be closing permanently on Sunday, January 22nd at 5:00pm. Although the restaurant has chosen not to renew its lease, all events and functions already booked through the venue will be fulfilled.
