Weddings & Special Events at the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden

The Leo Mol Sculpture Garden at Assiniboine Park is a place where natural beauty and stunning works of art combine to offer a truly unique venue for your wedding ceremony or special event. The Garden is available for weddings, photos, and other special events.

Locations in the Garden

The Arbour is the most popular location for wedding ceremonies. The grassy area in front of the Gallery Building can also be used. There is no alternate indoor location within the Garden, so we strongly recommend that as a precaution in the event of rain you make alternate arrangements elsewhere, such as the location of your reception.

Timing

Weddings are booked in 2-hour time slots. Your slot begins a ½-hour prior to the ceremony allowing 30 minutes for set-up and the arrival of your guests.

A one-hour wedding rehearsal time slot is included in the fee but should be booked preferably during regular hours so that staff are on hand to answer questions and advise of usual set up.

Photos are booked in 1-hour time slots.

Services Provided

The Assiniboine Park Conservancy will provide the following:

• 85 black folding chairs*
• Table with white table cloth for signing the register.
• Power access **
• “Wedding in Process” signage to block off the ceremony area
• Set-up for the above

* The client is responsible for providing any additional seating that may be required, though our staff WILL assist with set-up.
** The client is responsible for the supply, set-up, and operation of any CD’s or sound equipment required.
