2012 Summer Arts & EntertainmentThe Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) is thrilled to present another stellar summer line-up with its 2012 Summer Arts & Entertainment Series, including weekly musical acts at the Lyric Theatre, jazz in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden and the return of the incredibly popular Movies in the Park. The entire series is free of charge to the public and is made possible solely through sponsorship support.
Summer Music Series at the Lyric Theatre
Presented by The Johnston Group Showtimes: 7 pm to 9 pm There are few things better than spending a warm summer evening on the sprawling lawns of Assiniboine Park, listening to the melodies and harmonies from the Lyric Theatre mingle with the rustle of the leaves in the breeze.

Presented by The Richardson Foundation Showtimes: 3 pm to 4 pm Escape the noise and heat of the concrete jungle and slip into the soothing cool green and relaxing rhythms of a summer afternoon in the Park. Assiniboine Park presents the very best of jazz in Winnipeg, in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden amid blooming flowers, flowing fountains, and beautiful works of art.
Ballet in the ParkJuly 25, 26, 27 Showtimes: 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm Each year, thousands of Manitobans and tourists enjoy the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s free performances at Assiniboine Park. Sitting on a lawn chair or blanket on the grass, this is a relaxed way to enjoy the ballet and a great introduction to the art form in a picturesque setting. The Pooh Gallery is a permanent exhibit that portrays the story of how the famous character, Winnie the Pooh, came to be through Lieutenant Harry Colebourn and Winnie the Bear.
