The Zoo's transformed for a spooky, spell-tacular spree, with eerie sights and a magical glee! Boo at the Zoo brings costumes and cheer, with rides, games, treats, and performances near. Breathtaking displays will make your jaw drop so come join the fun, it'll be a thrill non-stop!

Boo at the Zoo takes place in the evening after the Zoo closes. 

Days of operation:
October 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30 & 31. 

Fridays & Saturdays | 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm (final entry 8:30 pm)
All Other Days | 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm (final entry 7:30 pm)

Tickets for Boo at the Zoo are date and time specific. Purchase tickets in advance online or at the Zoo entrance during daytime hours. Rides and games are included with your ticket. 

All Ages 3+: $17.00 + GST
Children 2 and under: FREE

Boo at the Zoo: After, After Dark 18+ Night

Join us on Halloween night (Thursday, October 31) for an adults-only night of thrills, excitment and spooky delights! 

• Enjoy all the fun of Boo at the Zoo but with even more spooky sights and exciting delights (but as always, no jump scares at Boo!)
• Dance your heart out with a live performance by local band, Men In Cheap Suits in the Phantasmic Fiesta tent.
• Get dressed in your creepiest, most entertaining costume and enter the adults-only costume contest!
• Pose with your friends and snap those memories with our amazing backdrops and displays.
• Find your way to the Rabbit Den’s Secret Door and have a drink (or two) in this special speakeasy getaway.
• Live in the nostalgia of your youth and come make new memories, here at Assiniboine Park Zoo.

Rules & Ticket Policies

Event Rules

• Smoking or vaping is prohibited inside the Zoo and may result in removal from the site.
• Disorderly conduct will result in your removal from the site. This includes trespassing into restricted areas, and unsafe or disrespectful actions towards animals, visitors, staff, volunteers or Zoo property.
• Costumes are welcomed and encouraged for guests of all ages! Please leave prop weapons, like swords, at home.

Ticket Policies

• Boo at the Zoo will proceed rain, snow, or shine. The Zoo will only be closed in the case of extreme weather. Notices regarding Zoo closures will be posted daily by 2:00 pm on our website.
• All guests, regardless of age, require a ticket in order to be counted toward our capacity. Tickets for children 2 years of age and under are FREE. Please add $0 infant ticket to your cart for each child aged 2 and under.
• Tickets are valid for one-time use on the specified ticket date & time. Guests must enter the Zoo within the 30-minute time frame indicated on their ticket.
• Tickets cannot be sold and will not be replaced if expired, destroyed, lost or stolen.
• Tickets cannot be transferred to another date, or time.
• Refunds will only be offered in the event of a Zoo closure.
• No re-entry. If you leave the Zoo, you will be unable to return.
• Entry is only via the main Zoo Entrance located at 2595 Roblin Blvd.

Boo at The Zoo is great for celebrations, staff appreciation, and client giveaways!

Volume ticket pricing is available for groups of 25+.

Single Tickets = $17.00 + GST per person
25-99 tickets = $15.30 + GST per person (save 10%)
100+ tickets = $13.60 + GST per person (save 20%)

Parking

Parking in front of the Zoo is limited. Please consider carpooling, active transportation, or public transportation.

A FREE Park & Ride Trolley will be available on Fridays and Saturdays and Thursday, October 31, to transport guests to and from overflow parking locations.

Trolley hours of operation: 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Weather Policies and Closures

Boo at the Zoo will proceed rain, snow, or shine and only be cancelled in the case of extreme or hazardous weather.

While the event is open, midway rides may close temporarily during high winds or rain. 

Cancellation notices will typically be posted here by 2:00 pm on the day of the closure. Ticket holders who have purchased online will be contacted by e-mail.

Boo at the Zoo is back with more memorable experiences for kids and adults alike!

Here's some changes you can expect on your visit to our mystical carnival:

New Route and Fantastical Hubs: The event route has been expanded and new audio and visual displays will leave you dazzled.

Young & Young at Heart: Kids can dive into crafting fun galore, while adults seek the Rabbit Den's secret door. Expect surprises aplenty, with new faces and games to explore, plus mysterious displays that'll leave you wanting more!

Roaming Performances: Make way through the winding paths and meet those with displays of craft. Wander around every corner and you'll see fire acts, jugglers, giant puppets, and a cast of new and former characters.

Strike a Pose: Along the loop, photo spots are set for spooky snaps you won't forget. Gather your crew and let the fun commence - capture the moments and make them intense!

Rides & Games: Enjoy rides and games spread wide and far, with staff to manage lines and raise the bar. It's all included in your entrance fee, so dive into the fun!

Boo at the Zoo: After, After Dark (18+): On Thursday, October 31 join us for a night of nostalgia, a few more scares, and live music as we host our first adults-only night!

Each drawing accommodates up to 2 people. Strike a pose and take home a fun keepsake from Boo at the Zoo! Grab your token outside Tundra Grill for $30 + taxes. Limited tokens available per night.

Soar into Enchantment: Elevate your adventure with our Aerialist Experience! Step into a world of aerial learn what it takes to become a gravity-defying performer with our skilled aerialists.
