Every year, a variety of fundraising walks, runs, and special events are hosted in the Park by not-for-profit and community organizations.

For safety reasons, some of these events require temporary road or pathway closures. Requirements vary depending on the type of event and the needs of the client. Closures are typically short in duration and limited to a couple of streets on the run route, so Park visitors can take alternative routes to reach their destination. Please be patient and kind to the staff, volunteers, and runners using the roadways to keep everyone safe.

The following list of upcoming events will be updated regularly from spring to fall.

All listed road closures are approved by the City of Winnipeg.

April Run Series | April 4, 12, and 19

• Westbound Pavilion Crescent, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 8:25 am - 10:30 am.
• Westbound Zoo Drive, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 8:25 am - 10:30 am.

Go for the Burn Run | April 25

• Westbound Pavilion Crescent, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 8:50 am - 10:00 am.
• Westbound Zoo Drive, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 8:50 am - 10:00 am.
• Nature Playground parking lot is closed from 6:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Fast and Furry | April 26

• Westbound Pavilion Crescent, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 9:15 am - 10:00 am.
• Westbound Zoo Drive, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 9:15 am - 10:00 am.
• Northbound Assiniboine Park Drive, starting at the intersection of Pavilion Crescent, will be closed from 6:00 am - 11:00 am.

Winnipeg Police Service Half Marathon | May 3

• Westbound Assiniboine Park Drive, starting at the Wellington Crescent entrance, will be closed from Friday, May 1, until 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 3.
• The northbound intersection of Assiniboine Park Drive and Pavilion Crescent will be closed overnight on Saturday, May 2, until 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 3.
• The intersection of Eastbound Pavilion Crescent and Diversity Drive will be closed overnight on Saturday, May 2, until 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 3.

Jog in the Park | May 7

• Eastbound Pavilion Crescent from Diversity Drive to Assiniboine Park Drive will be closed from 10:15 am - 11:00 am.
• Northbound Assiniboine Park Drive, starting at the intersection of Pavilion Crescent, will be closed from 7:30 am - 11:00 am.
• Westbound Zoo Drive, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 10:15 am - 11:00 am.

Physio Fit Run | May 9

• Westbound Pavilion Crescent, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 7:55 am - 10:30 am.
• Westbound Zoo Drive, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 7:55 am - 10:30 am.
• Nature Playground parking lot is closed from 5:00 am - 1:00 pm.
