Every year, a variety of fundraising walks, runs, and special events are hosted in the Park by not-for-profit and community organizations.

For safety reasons, some of these events require temporary road or pathway closures. Requirements vary depending on the type of event and the needs of the client. Closures are typically short in duration and limited to a couple of streets on the run route, so Park visitors can take alternative routes to reach their destination. Please be patient and kind to the staff, volunteers, and runners using the roadways to keep everyone safe.

The following list of upcoming events will be updated regularly from spring to fall.

All listed road closures are approved by the City of Winnipeg.

RCMP Walk | May 24

• Westbound Pavilion Crescent, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 9:45 am - 12:00 pm.
• Westbound Zoo Drive, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 9:45 am - 12:00 pm.
• Nature Playground parking lot will be closed from 5:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Challenge For Life | June 13

• Westbound Pavilion Crescent, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 8:45 am - 11:00 am.
• Westbound Zoo Drive, starting at the intersection of Diversity Drive, will be closed from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Manitoba Marathon | June 21

• The Wellington Gate entrance/exit will be paused periodically to allow runners through.
• Pathways on the East side of the Park and through the East side of the Outdoor Gardens at The Leaf will be unavailable.
