Every year, a variety of fundraising walks, runs, and special events are hosted in the Park by not-for-profit and community organizations.

For safety reasons, some of these events require temporary road or pathway closures. Requirements vary depending on the type of event and the needs of the client. Closures are typically short in duration and limited to a couple of streets on the run route, so Park visitors can take alternative routes to reach their destination. Please be patient and kind to the staff, volunteers, and runners using the roadways to keep everyone safe.

All listed road closures are approved by the City of Winnipeg.

13th Annual WFPS Run | Sunday, October 19

• While this event does not take place in Assiniboine Park, there will City of Winnipeg approved road and entrance closures that impact vehicular traffic into and around the Park on Sunday morning.
• Vehicles requiring access to the Zoo, Park, or Leaf between 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. should use the entrances/exits at Shaftesbury Boulevard or Wellington Crescent.
