Pride in the Park
Celebrate Pride at Assiniboine Park Zoo and The Leaf on Saturday, May 27! Enjoy special Pride activities for people of all ages.
In recognition of our Pride in the Park event, we will donate 15% of admission sales from the Zoo and The Leaf on Saturday, May 27 to two organizations that support our local 2SLGBTQ+ community; Rainbow Resource Centre and Sunshine House.
Activities at the Zoo
All activities (with the exception of animal enrichment) take place at Aunt Sally’s Farm from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Animal enrichment takes place all day, all throughout the Zoo! All activities are included with Zoo admission.

Animal Enrichment Pride-themed animal enrichment will decorate animal habitats all throughout the day! Enrichment offers the animals new opportunities to play, explore, and discover. |

Fabulous Face Painting with Heather’s Pretty Parties Artists from Heather’s Pretty Parties will create colourful designs to make bright faces even brighter! |

Pride Rocks Craft Design your own Pride Rock with paints and a river stone. Spread kindness by leaving your rock somewhere in the Park – but please don’t leave them inside any buildings! |

The Rainbow Way Chalk Circle Leave a colourful design or write a Pride message in chalk along the pathway leading up to Aunt Sally’s Farm. |

Button-Making Station Pick up a Pride in the Park pronoun button or custom create your own! Buttons are available for a suggested donation of $2 with all funds raised going to Sunshine House and Rainbow Resource Centre. |
Activities at The Leaf
Activities will take place in The Leaf throughout the day. Please read below for time and location details.
| Pride Rocks Craft 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Location: Tannis M. Richardson Classroom Design your own Pride Rock with paints and a river stone. Spread kindness by leaving your rock somewhere in the Park – but please don’t leave them inside any buildings (including the biomes)! The Pride Rocks craft activity is accessible without admission to the biomes. |

Pride Week in Winnipeg
