  • Bubbles will be marked in the grass to encourage physical distancing.
  • Masks are required when entering indoor washroom facilities and recommended outdoors when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

For more details, please continue to browse our FAQs below.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend?

Yes.

All guests age 12+ must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be permitted entry into the controlled event space at the Lyric Theatre and at The Pavilion. Proof of vaccination (physical card or digital QR code) is required for entry. Please click here for more information about obtaining physical or digital proof of vaccination from the Government of Manitoba.

Children under the age of 12 may attend when accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

Will capacity be limited?

Yes.

New for 2021, all events at the Lyric Theatre will take place within a large fenced area with two controlled points of entry. Capacity in this space will be managed and limited to allow the opportunity for physical distancing between groups.

This fenced area is approximately the size of 6+ football fields, or 375,000 square feet.

What are you doing to help people stay physically distanced?

Capacity in the large, fenced event space will be managed and limited to allow the opportunity for physical distancing between groups.

In addition, bubbles will be marked in the area closest to the stage to encourage physical distancing. The bubbles are sized to fit a group of five comfortably and are spaced approximately two metres apart from one another.

There will a large open area toward the back of the fenced site.

We are counting on visitors to do their part to stay physically distanced from others.

Can I attend if I'm visiting from outside of Manitoba?

Yes.

Visitors from outside of Manitoba are welcome to attend. Out of province visitors must adhere to all Manitoba public health orders related to travel.

Proof of vaccination will be required from out of province visitors age 12+ for entry into the fenced event space. Click here to learn more about Manitoba's vaccination cards.

Can my child who is under 12 and not vaccinated attend?

Yes.

Children under 12 are welcome as long as the adult(s) they are with are fully vaccinated.

Planning Your Visit

What time does the event site open?

The fenced area on the Lyric Field will become a controlled event space one hour before the event start time.

At that time, new visitors will need to enter the space via the designated entry points.

Prior to the event, this space will be open throughout the day for regular use. If you are located within the event space when it becomes a controlled area, one of our team members will request proof of vaccination to remain in the space.

Can I reserve my spot in advance?

We are not offering the opportunity to formally reserve space.

You are welcome to arrive as early as you'd like to claim a spot on the field. If you choose to leave chairs or other items to claim your spot, they will not be monitored so you do so at your own risk.

Can I bring a BBQ, camp stove, hibachi, or other cooking device?

No. This year we are asking guests to please leave all cooking devices at home.

Small coolers or bags containing pre-cooked food and beverages are permitted.

Can I bring a chair?

Yes.

Chairs must be single person and collapisble. They must not be oversized, recline, or have protruding leg rests.

Can I arrive after the set or show has started?

Yes.

Although we do recommend arriving early as the space does have limited capacity.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages. We will also be selling food, snacks, and drinks at our concession stands.

During Your Visit

I forgot something in my car! Can I leave and come back?

Yes. Re-entry is permitted. You may be asked to show proof of vaccination upon re-entry.

Is there a smoking area?

Smoking is not permitted inside the fenced area. If you need to smoke, please leave the fenced area and you may re-enter when you are finished. You may be asked to show proof of vaccination upon re-entry.

Are concession stands open?

Yes.

Concessions are open and selling hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, beverages, and much more!
