The Outdoor Gardens at The Leaf are OPEN
Discover the new outdoor Gardens at The Leaf - close to 30 acres of revitalized gardens and greenspace in the southeast corner of Assiniboine Park. There are six themed areas to explore - Indigenous Peoples Garden, Kitchen Garden, Sensory Garden, Performance Garden, Seasonal Garden, and The Grove.
The opening of the Gardens at The Leaf represents completion of the outdoor phase of The Leaf – Canada’s Diversity Gardens project. There is no entrance fee for the Gardens at The Leaf.
The majority of the outdoor Gardens at The Leaf are open 24 hours/day, year round.

The Gardens at The Leaf are located in the south-east corner of Assiniboine Park.
The nearest parking lot is located west of the gardens and is accessible from Locomotive Drive. The Gardens are located a short walk from the parking lot in front of The Pavilion which can be accessed from Conservatory Drive and Pavilion Crescent. Another small parking lot is located at the head of the Terry Fox Fitness Trail.
The Domo Trolley makes a stop at the Gardens at The Leaf during the summer months. The trolley operations on weekends and statutory holidays from July - September. Click here to learn more about the Domo Trolley.
What to Expect
The outdoor Gardens at The Leaf cover close to 30 acres in the south-east corner of Assiniboine Park. Visitors to the gardens will travel along a series of pathways through multiple garden vignettes and horticultural experiences.
There are six themed areas to explore - Indigenous Peoples Garden, Kitchen Garden, Sensory Garden, Performance Garden, Seasonal Garden, and The Grove.
These gorgeous young gardens will change with the seasons and mature gradually over the weeks, months and years to come.
