Yin Yoga is an introspective, mindful exercise focusing on opening the joints and lengthening and stretching the connective tissues of the body through longer holds. Your breath-centered practice will find you holding poses up to 5 minutes with an awareness of sensations and emotions in mind and body. Yin Yoga practice is gentle and slow though can be challenging with the length of hold.
This series is suitable for beginners and practicing yogis. Please bring any supports you may require such as blocks, bolsters and blankets.
Before you practice be aware of any limitations you may have such as: pregnancy, joint injury, surgery, high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, etc., and discuss your yoga practice intention with your health care provider.
Register for all six classes or sign up for single classes that fit with your schedule.
