Fit Together Indoor Stroller Fitness

Mondays, November 2 - December 14 

Get a full-body workout with baby by your side with our Indoor Stroller Fitness class. Our welcoming easy-going environment allows you to tend to your baby, meet other parents and babies and enjoy the benefits of postnatal exercise.  Experience more energy, less aches and pains, stronger muscles for parenting, and more. Indoor Stroller Fitness is a mobile class with cardio, strength, core and stretching segments, plus fun baby rhymes at the end.   

All fitness levels and trimesters are welcome. Postnatal participants should be 4+ weeks postpartum (6 weeks for caesareans).  Open to all ages of stroller-aged babies and tots including mobile babies, multiples or mixed age siblings. Mobile babies & tots should remain in their strollers until core work. All instructors are certified pre/postnatal fitness specialists.

Fee: $98 +GST

Wednesdays, November 4 - December 16

Improve your flexibility and mindfulness with baby by your side and learn useful infant massage techniques with our Parent & Baby Yoga + Infant Massage Series. Our welcoming easy-going environment allows you to tend to your baby, meet other parents and babies and enjoy the benefits of postnatal exercise. Experience less aches and pains, improved strength and a clearer mind. The first half of class includes postnatal specific stretches, strength, relaxation exercises and core work. The second half of class focuses on massage techniques to bond with your new baby, improve relaxation and sleep, build a loving routine for your family, assist baby’s digestion, and enjoy each other’s company.

All fitness levels and trimesters are welcome. Participants should be 4+ weeks postpartum (6 weeks for caesareans).  Recommended for pre-mobile babies only. All instructors are certified pre/postnatal fitness specialists.

These wildly interactive classes encourage a child’s natural curiosity about the world. We explore nature, art, plants and animals through hands-on activities and oodles of fun! For children ages 3 – 5 with an adult partner. Please dress for the weather as we will spend time outdoors visiting the areas in the park.

In the warmly lit, intimate space of the Ivan Eyre Gallery in The Pavilion, surrounded by magnificent works of art, we'll build heat and strength as we open with our vinyasa flow practice, soften into longer yin postures, and finish in restorative poses to create space in your body, mind and spirit. Whether this is your first time stepping on a mat or the 100th time, this yoga series is open to everyone and everybody.

What we are doing to keep the the space safe: 

  • Limited space available to accommodate social distancing.
  • Doors will open 15 minutes before class. Please practice social distancing in all areas in and outside the building. 
  • Floor is washed before and after class.
  • Hand sanitizer available.
  • Bathrooms available, though it is encouraged to change before entering the building.
  • Please bring your own mats, props, blanket, or eye pillow. Props and belts will be not be available for public use. 
  • Instructor will be be offering adjustments.


About the Instructor
Becky Watson of Mobile Yoga shares her love of yoga in rural Manitoba communities as well as Winnipeg. She believes that yoga is for EVERY body and loves to share her heart-based practice with all who step onto their mats.

Journeys Through The Zoo - Memories and Motion

Journeys Through the Zoo: Memories and Motion, is an engaging program designed for people living with early to moderate symptoms of dementia and their care partners to explore Assiniboine Park Zoo's most famed exhibit: Journey to Churchill.

Led by an Educator Coordinator, we explore arctic animals and earth friendly themes while building community through reminiscing and engaging activities and take home projects. We spend time indoors and outdoor so please dress for the weather and walking.

Themes in the Journeys Through the Zoo series include:

  • A Changing Arctic: Polars and Seals
  • Built for a Life on the Tundra: Muskox, Reindeer, Arctic Fox
  • Connections to the Land: Cultural and artistic connections to the arctic animals
  • What can the Zoo Do?: Celebrating conservation and research

Journeys Through the Zoo is a joint offering of Assiniboine Park Zoo and the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. It allows people with dementia and their care partners to try new experiences in a supportive environment.

Booking & Cancellation Policies

  • Registration fees are non-refundable (unless the program is cancelled by Assiniboine Park Conservancy).
  • Pre-registration and payment is encouraged to ensure we have sufficient staff and materials for attendees. Sorry, we cannot accept walk-ups unless otherwise specified.
  • Workshops are subject to demand. If enrollment is insufficient, Assiniboine Park Conservancy reserves the right to cancel a workshop up to one week in advance.
