Axolotls are able to regenerate parts of their body such as their limbs, heart, jaw, spine and part of their brain!

Wild Range: Freshwater lakes and drainage basins in the Mexican Central Valley

Diet: Worms, mollusks, crustaceans, insect larvae and small fish

Size: 15 to 45 centimeters

Weight: 56 to 226 grams
