Bench and Fence Plaques FAQs
When will my bench or fence plaque be installed?
Timelines for installation are dependant on several factors including the season, third-party production timelines, and weather. The tribute item is guarateed and installation is coordinated once full payment and agreement to the tribute terms is received. We will contact you to let you know when your plaque is installed.
What length of inscription fits on a plaque?
Bench plaques at the Seasonal Garden, the Esplanade, Aunt Sally’s Farm, and the Zoo allow for 200 characters. Bench plaques at The Grove and the Lyric Field allow for four lines of text, with 38 characters per line.
Oval bronze plaques are placed on the tall iron fence enclosing the English and Leo Mol Sculpture Gardens. Plaques allow for ten lines of text, with 36 characters per line.
Rectangular bronze plaques are placed on the low stone wall along the perimeter of the English Garden. Standard plaques allow for three lines of text, with 24 characters per line. Large plaques allow for 15 lines of text, with 24 characters per line.
Characters include letters, spaces, and punctuation. Larger or capital letters may take up more space. We use one standard font, and can incorporate italics and French diacritical marks. Text will be centred and sized to fit the entire available space. No images or logos will be engraved.
Can I have multiple plaques on a single bench?
Our current policy is to install only one plaque per bench.
