When school is out, the Zoo is in!

Zoo Camp is perfect for children who love nature, animals, art and adventure. Children  enjoy a one-of-a-kind adventure featuring animals, nature, art and non-stop fun! We offer in-service camps, spring break camp, and weekly summer camps in July and August.

All camps are designed for children in Grades 1 to 6.


ZOO CAMP REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Due to program popularity and limited space available, we ask that you cancel at least ten (10) business days prior to the start of the program for a 90% refund of the program fee.
  • Cancellations with less than ten (10) business days’ notice receive a refund of 75% of the program fee.
  • No refunds will be given for cancellations with less than two (2) business days’ notice.

IN-SERVICE CAMPS

When school is out, the Park and Zoo are in!

We offer in-service camps on the following dates. Drop-off and pick-up are conveniently located at the Qualico Family Centre. While you are busy, your child will be busy too - exploring the Park and Zoo, learning about animals and nature, and making new friends. We will spend time indoors and outdoors, ensuring your child has a fun, productive and playful day!

The following information applies to all of our upcoming in-service camps.

FEE: $40 + GST (non-members) | $36.00 + GST (members)
DROP-OFF: 8:00 – 9:00 am at the Qualico Family Centre (330 Assiniboine Park Drive)
PICK-UP: 4:00 – 5:00 pm at the Qualico Family Centre (330 Assiniboine Park Drive)

FRIDAY, MARCH 17, 2017 - GREEN ESCAPE
Are you tired of the snow? Need a vacation? Escape with us to the jungles of Assinboine Park and Zoo. We will explore the lush Conservatory and tropical jungle in Toucan Ridge at the Zoo, chasing away those winter blues with a healthy dose of green!

FRIDAY, APRIL 21, 2017 - CRAZY CATTITUDE

This is a purr-fect day to learn about the wonderful world of cats. The Zoo is home to some fabulous, furry felines including Amur tigers and snow leopards, to name a few. We we learn all about these amazing animals and how they compare to their domestic cousins.

Spring Camp (March 27 - 31)

Snow, slush, showers, or sun, come to Assiniboine Park for some Spring Break fun! Our Spring Break Zoo Camp offers exciting educational and experiential activities for children.  Each day, we'll introduce a new theme with interactive adventures that will have your child exploring many parts of Assiniboine Park and Zoo. You never know what spring break weather may bring - it could be our last chance for some winter fun or our first chance to step into spring.

Sign your child up for the full week or  just the days you need.

WEEKLY FEE: $200.00 (non-members) | $180.00 + GST (members)
SINGLE DAY FEE: $45.00 + GST (non-members) | $40.50 + GST (members)
DROP-OFF: 8:00 – 9:00 am at the Zoo entrance (2595 Roblin Boulevard, west parking lot)
PICK-UP: 4:00 – 5:00 pm at the Zoo entrance (2595 Roblin Boulevard, west parking lot)

PLEASE NOTE: DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP FOR SPRING CAMP IS AT THE ZOO. PLEASE GO TO THE DEDICATED CAMP ENTRANCE (GATE 4) LOCATED WEST OF THE MAIN ZOO ENTRANCE AT 2595 ROBLIN BOULEVARD.

Monday, March 27: Outdoor Explorers
Discover the great outdoors as we travel around the world. Campers will journey through the prairies of North America, the rain forests of South America, and discover some of the secrets of the Assiniboine Park forest.

Tuesday, March 28, Horsing Around
Have you herd about our horses? It's a "Whose Hooves" here at the Zoo as we go looking for tracks and trails. Saddle up for our mane event as we stirrup adventure and rein in the puns.

Wednesday, March 29: Into the Jungle

Explore the Park's tropical jungles at the Conservatory. Beat the winter blues and enjoy a tropical staycation right here in Winnipeg.

Thursday, March 30: Northern Explorers
The snow won't stop us as we journey north to Russia to meet polar bears and tigers and discover hot these mighty animals have adapted to survive in the snow and cold.

Friday, March 31: Wild Art
It's time to brighten up our Zoo! We will beautify the Zoo with our own artwork and other crafty projects. This will be our last chance to visit our favourite spots in the Zoo.
