Yellow anacondas are a viviparous snake species, which means they do not lay eggs - they give birth to live young! Research has shown that yellow anacondas give birth to an average of 24 babies in each litter.

Wild Range:  South America in the Paraguay River Basin (Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia, and Argentina)

Diet:  Birds, mammals, caiman, smaller snakes, fish, and eggs

Size:  Average length of 3.3 to 4.4 m

Weight: 25 to 35 kg
