While the Percheron horse is no longer wild, they have a rich history based in France and surrounding Europe. Starting as war horses, they continued to be domesticated into pulling coaches, then used in agriculture, and are still used for show and work.

We currently have four Percheron draft horses, Bob, Tom, Flame, and Rival at the McFeetors Heavy Horse Centre in the Zoo, stop by and say hi!
