Are those berries edible? If I were hungry enough, could I eat tree bark? If I break a shoelace, could a plant help me tie my shoe? Join us for a walk in the Park and get answers to all these questions, while feeding your curiosity about wild plants in Winnipeg!

Barret Miller, Manager of Education and Programming at the Assiniboine Park Conservancy, will share a lifetime of knowledge built from nibbling on wild plants in an experience that is equal parts educational and entertaining.

We'll dive into foraging ethics, safety, cooking tips, and ideas for conserving urban wild space. When nature offers a trail treat, we will share samples.

This program takes place outdoors in Assiniboine Park and involves walking up to 2.5 kilometres. Please dress for the weather. Each walk is a stand-alone experience, but returning lets you watch plants evolve through the seasons, offering a unique experience every time.
