Volunteer Positions

The following positions are available for all volunteers:

  • Visitor Services Concierge
  • Event Ambassador
  • Access Control Ambassador

All positions require volunteers to spend time outdoors in freezing temperatures and have great communication skills. We will make an effort to assign tasks you prefer. However, a certain degree of flexibility is required.

Volunteer schedules are subject to change. Position descriptions and a list of tasks will be provided upon receipt of application. The opportunity to sign up for shifts will be provided upon completion of the online training module.

Our volunteer program strives to be as inclusive as possible, however there are some factors beyond our control, such as weather, the nature of the event, and the availability of resources, which can impose some limitations on our ability to provide volunteer opportunities that are suitable for all individuals.

Note for individuals with lights and/or sound sensitivities: Zoo Lights has multi-colour bright lights, flashing lights, entertainment, large crowds, and music throughout the whole Zoo.

If you require support or accommodations of any kind in order to volunteer, please contact us at 204-927-6074 or volunteer@assiniboinepark.ca to discuss our volunteer positions.
