September 23 - Violent Affliction
Violent Affection is a Winnipeg-based pop-folk duo consisting of Brady Barrientos and Kris Cahatol. Formed through their shared background in theatre, they combine a love of collaboration, queer expression, and humour in their music. Their sound blends jazz-pop piano and indie-folk influences, creating a playful style inspired by artists ranging from Carole King to Chappell Roan, featuring both original songs and fresh takes on popular music.
October 7 - Northshore & Rivers
The singer-songwriter duo Northshore & Rivers weaves heartfelt lyrics with rich melodies, capturing an essence of life in the North and of finding a life in the city. Their sound - a blend of folk, country, and acoustic rock - brings an urban edge to the beauty and vulnerability of their surroundings, growing up in small northern communities. With harmonies that feel both intimate and timeless, Sarah Baxter and Mike Pizzi tell stories of resilience, love, and the quiet moments that continue to shape life and change.
October 21 - Alyssa Crockett and Nathaniel Muir
Alyssa and Nathaniel, a dynamic duo, first crossed paths during their roles as Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion in "The Wizard of Oz" at Rainbow Stage. Since then, their talents have graced various stages, including performances with Dry Cold, Winnipeg Studio Theatre, and recent Rainbow Stage productions. When Alyssa isn't captivating audiences in Winnipeg, she's enchanting crowds aboard one of the world's largest cruise ships with her mesmerizing voice. Meanwhile, Nathaniel remains a prominent figure in the music scene as the lead vocalist of the Love Letters, while both he and Alyssa lend their voices to the vibrant sounds of the new band, Prairie Hearts.
