Join renowned artist Shannon Tara Kalić for a fun and welcoming introduction to Métis beading, designed for children ages 8 - 13 and their adult caregivers.

You will explore the art of beading and learn about Métis culture beadwork. Each child will create their own unique Métis floral keychain to take home. No previous beading experience is required. Come ready to learn, create, and share a meaningful hands-on experience together!

About the Facilitator
Shannon Tara Kalić (she/her) is a Métis artist, facilitator and anti-racism educator from Winnipeg. She has been beading and creating with fur and leather since 2016, and started her business, Waabishki Miigwan Creations, in January 2021.
