Domestic Bactrian Camel

Taxonomic name: Camelus bactrianus

Type: Mammal

Conservation Status: Domesticated

Diet: Mainly herbivorous, but will eat other food items opportunistically

Size: 2.3 - 2.5 metres tall

Weight: 660 - 2200 kg, with males often being larger than females

Bactrian camels are extremely well suited to living in cold, harsh conditions and can go without drinking liquid water for months at a time!
