Diet: Deer make up 60-80% of their diet, but it may also include smaller prey such as feral pigs, raccoons, and armadillos

Longevity in the wild: Up to 10 years in the wild and 21 years in captivity

Size: Large variation in body size, with larger animals found towards poles and smaller animals found towards equator

Weight: Females: 29-64kg Males: 52-100kg

Cougars can also be called pumas, mountain lions, panthers and catamount. Unlike other big cats, cougars do not roar but instead they shriek, growl, hiss and purr.
