The Leaf After Dark: Adults Only Nights
Enjoy a relaxing adults-only atmosphere complete with live musical entertainment. Wine, beer, and snacks will be available at a cash bar in the Mediterranean Biome and can be enjoyed throughout all the biomes.

The Enchanted Forest
September 12 - November 16
Babs Asper Display House
Step into a world where sustainability meets wonder. The Babs Asper Display House has been transformed into an enchanted forest where diverse trees inspire imagination and a deeper appreciation for nature. The forest’s gentle, ethereal atmosphere will transport you to an enchanted world where fairies flourish.
This display celebrates the magic and majesty of trees and the role they play in sustaining life, and will help you see nature through a lens of creativity and curiosity, fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Plant material was selected to represent the layers of a forest ecosystem, including:
- Over 30 live trees (elm, oak, birch, lilac, crab apple, pear, Norfolk pine, black hill spruce, Scotch pine, cedar)
- Forest floor plantings (a variety of ferns and shrubs)
- Bog plantings (Venus flytraps and pitcher plants)
While you wander through our forest, you will learn about the dedicated planting initiatives, forest restoration, and the protection and preservation of trees here at Assiniboine Park. These initiatives are rooted in sustainable care, conservation, and a commitment to future generations.
Toddler Tuesdays
September 16 - November 4
We’re so excited to welcome you and your toddler to The Leaf for fun and educational activities you will both love! Your little one will enjoy music and games while discovering the joy of movement in the beautiful Mediterranean Biome. Toddler Tuesday activities are FREE with admission to The Leaf.

Chat with a member of our horticultural team while you explore The Leaf! Our expert gardeners will explore our connections to plants, and provide insider knowledge about the beautiful plantings within the biomes. Gardener Chats are presented by McFadden Benefits & Pension.
