The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival (GOCF) is a third-party, adults-only (18+) comedy event presented by Trixstar LIVE taking place in Assiniboine Park on July 19, 20, and 21. It is an outdoor, cabaret style showcase for up-and-coming local talent and headliners with massive followings and global comedy specials.

GOCF has been a showcase for some of the biggest names in comedy and now, it's coming to Winnipeg!

The ticketed event will be hosted in a large, fenced area in front of the Lyric Theatre and run over the course of three evenings on July 19, 20 and 21.

For people visiting the Park and/or attending the event, please be aware there will be some adjustments to Park operations on July 19, 20 and 21.

HOURS OF OPERATIONS

• The Park Café will be open with extended hours (open 9:00 am – 7:00 pm or later)
• The Domo Trolley will close early at 3:00 pm (open 10:00 am – 3:00 pm)
• The Nature Playground will close early at 12:00 pm (open 8:00 am – 12:00 pm)

The Zoo, Leaf, Pavilion, Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar and other Park attractions will operate with regular hours of operation.

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

• Vehicle access will be restricted around the Lyric Field starting at 3:00 pm
• Road closures:
  • Assiniboine Park Drive around the Lyric field will be CLOSED from 3:00 pm to midnight
  • Assiniboine Park Drive from Wellington to the Mayor’s Grove will be CLOSED to incoming traffic from 4:30 pm – 8:30 pm
• The entire Park will be closed to incoming traffic no later than 5:00 pm with exceptions for:
  • emergency vehicles and Park/event staff and volunteers
  • people visiting The Leaf and/or Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar (at The Leaf with access from the Park entrance at Roblin/Corydon and Shaftesbury Blvd)
  • accessible event parking (enter at 2595 Roblin Boulevard)
  • paid event parking, see below
• Taxi, Ride Share & Pick Up/Drop Offs
  • Only available at the Portage Avenue footbridge entrance
• There is a Park & Ride supported by GOCF available on July 19, 20, 21
  • Parking pick-up/drop-off location: Seel Station
  • Assiniboine Park pick-up location: east-bound Roblin Blvd
  • 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm & 10:00 pm to midnight
  • Bus operators will only wait 15 minutes beyond pick-up time for the group to board

PAID EVENT PARKING

Due to the scale of the event and anticipated attendance, parking will be very limited inside the Park.

The GOCF is encouraging ticket purchasers to use public transit, taxis or other ride-share options, or their on-site bike valet and park-and-ride services.

Limited paid event parking for GOCF ticket purchasers will be available in the Park at designated Zoo parking lots:

• Paid parking links will only be available during the event days
• Get your tickets ahead of time and show them on arrival
• Access to paid parking will only be from the Zoo parking lot at 2595 Roblin Boulevard
• $20 per vehicle – payment by credit or debit only, cash will not be accepted
