Great Outdoors Comedy Festival

The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival (GOCF) is a third-party, adults-only (18+) comedy event presented by Trixstar LIVE taking place in Assiniboine Park from July 17 to 19. It is an outdoor showcase for up-and-coming local talent and some of the biggest names in comedy!

The ticketed event will be held in a large, fenced area in front of the Lyric Theatre and will run over three evenings on July 17, 18, and 19. There will also be afternoon shows on July 18 and 19.

DRIVING TO THE PARK

July 13 - 16

• Vehicle access will be restricted on Assiniboine Park Drive around the Lyric Field. All other roads will remain open.

July 17

• Vehicle access will be closed on Assiniboine Park Drive around the Lyric Field.
• Vehicle access will be closed on Wellington Avenue to Assiniboine Park Drive (incoming traffic only) from 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

July 18 & 19

• Vehicle access will be closed on Assiniboine Park Drive around the Lyric Field at 9:00 am.
• Vehicle access will be closed on Wellington Avenue to Assiniboine Park Drive from 9:00 am – 8:30 pm.

Exceptions

• People visiting The Leaf and/or Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar (please use the Park entrance at Roblin/Corydon and Shaftsbury Blvd.)
• Paid accessible event parking at the Pavilion lot.
• Paid GOCF event parking (see below)

July 20 - 21

• Vehicle access will be restricted on Assiniboine Park Drive around the Lyric Field until 12:00 pm on July 21. All other roads will remain open.

TAXI, RIDESHARE, AND TRANSIT DROP-OFF & PICKUP

The drop-off location for taxis, ridesharing (Uber) and transit buses will be on Portage Avenue. Guests with accessibility needs will access the Park via Diversity Drive for drop-off/pick-up in front of the Pavilion.

PARKING

Due to the scale of this event, parking will be very limited inside the Park. The GOCF is encouraging ticket purchasers to use public transit, taxis or other ride-share options, or their free on-site bike valet.

Limited paid event parking for GOCF ticket purchasers will be available in Assiniboine Park:

• Paid parking will be in effect starting at 4:00 pm on July 17 and 10:00 am on July 18 and 19.
• $20 per vehicle – payment by credit or debit only via HonkMobile app; cash will not be accepted.
• Visitors can access paid parking through any Park entrance. A parking attendant will direct you to a parking lot or roadway upon arrival. Please note that the entrance at Wellington and Park Boulevard will be closed.  
• Paid parking will be limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
