Welcome to a mysterious land where fall festivities are in full swing. Pumpkins glow, phantoms dance, and new secrets are waiting to be uncovered around every corner.

Boo at the Zoo is a Halloween tradition for the whole family! This spooky season, visit the Zoo for a fun, safe, and family-friendly alternative to traditional haunted attractions! Enjoy spectacular themed entertainment, interactive activities, festive photo-ops, fair rides, and Halloween fun. With plenty of spooky sights but no scary frights, it’s the perfect way for families, kids, and those young at heart to celebrate Halloween!

Friday and Saturday: 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm (final entry 8:30 pm)
Halloween - October 31: 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm (final entry 7:00 pm)

Ticket Information

• Tickets for Boo at the Zoo are date and time-specific. You must enter during the 30-minute time on your ticket. You can stay as long as you like (up until closing time).
  
  
• Please purchase tickets in advance online or in person at the Zoo entrance during daytime hours.
  
  
• Walk-up tickets are subject to availability. If you plan to purchase tickets upon arrival at the event, please check the capacity on our online web store to ensure availability. If time slots are SOLD OUT online, there are no extra tickets available in person.
  
  
• Fair rides are included with your ticket.

Ticket Policies

• The event will proceed rain, snow, or shine and will only be cancelled in the event of extreme weather.

• Refunds will only be offered if the event is cancelled.

• All guests, regardless of age, require a ticket. Tickets for children 2 years of age and under are FREE. Please add a $0 infant ticket to your cart for each child aged 2 and under.

• Tickets are valid for one-time use on the specified ticket date and time. Guests must enter the Zoo within the 30-minute time frame indicated on their ticket.

• Tickets cannot be sold and will not be replaced if expired, destroyed, lost, or stolen.

• Tickets may be exchanged for another date or time through the Ticket Exchange portal on our webstore. Exchanges must be completed at least three hours before your scheduled Boo at the Zoo visit. A $10.00 exchange fee is applied to all transactions.

• No re-entry. If you leave the Zoo, you will be unable to return.

• Smoking and vaping is prohibited inside the Zoo and may result in removal from the site.

• Disorderly conduct may result in removal from the event without refund. This includes entering restricted areas and unsafe or disrespectful behaviour toward animals, guests, staff, volunteers, or Zoo property.

• Family-friendly costumes are welcome! For everyone’s safety, please leave prop weapons, such as swords, at home. If you arrive with a prop weapon, staff will ask you to return it to your vehicle or leave it in their care at the Zoo entrance. Items can be picked up when you leave the event.

• Entry is through the main Zoo entrance located at 2595 Roblin Blvd.

Boo Rules

• Smoking or vaping is prohibited inside the Zoo and may result in removal from the site.
  
  
• Disorderly conduct will result in your removal from the site. This includes trespassing into restricted areas, and unsafe or disrespectful actions towards animals, visitors, staff, volunteers or Zoo property.
  
  
• Family-friendly costumes are welcomed and encouraged for guests of all ages! Please leave prop weapons, like swords, at home.

• Pets are not permitted in the Zoo. Service animals are permitted. For the health and safety of all animals (including those in our care), the service animal's vaccination papers must be presented upon arrival at the Zoo. 

Group Tickets

Boo at The Zoo is the perfect Halloween group celebration, staff appreciation event, and client giveaway!

Volume ticket pricing is available for groups of 25+.

• Single Tickets = $17.50 +GST
• 25-99 Tickets = $15.75 +GST (save 10%)
• 100+ Tickets = $14.00 +GST (save 20%)

Parking

Parking in front of the Zoo is limited. Please consider carpooling, active transportation, or public transportation. Additional parking is available throughout Assiniboine Park. 

Weather Policies and Closures

Boo at the Zoo will proceed rain, snow, or shine and only be cancelled in the case of extreme or hazardous weather.

While the event may remain open, rides may close temporarily during high winds or rain. 

Cancellation notices will typically be posted on our website and Instagram Stories by 2:00 pm on the day of a closure. Ticket holders who have purchased online will be contacted by e-mail.
