Teddy Bears’ Picnic

Hosted by the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, Teddy Bear’s Picnic presented by Johnston Group is an exciting day of fun that provides kid-friendly activities to help families learn and understand what they might see in a hospital or child health research environment. Enjoy fun activities for kids and caregivers, the Dr. Goodbear Clinic, main stage entertainment, and so much more!
Parking and Road Closures
Parking in the Park is limited and expected to reach capacity depending on the weather and attendance. Please consider carpooling, taking the bus, or active transportation.
Event organizers are also offering a park and ride service from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm at the following locations. Drop-off and pick-up in the Park is in front of The Pavilion (55 Pavilion Crescent). Last ride from the Park is at 5:00 pm.
- St. Paul’s High School at 2200 Grant Avenue
- Shaftesbury High School at 2240 Grant Avenue
To accomodate the event, parking and vehicle access will be restricted on Assiniboine Park Drive (around the Lyric Field) as follows:
- CLOSED to parking and vehicle traffic from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 7 (Pavilion Crescent to Zoo Drive).
- LIMITED PARKING from September 4 - 6 and on September 8 until 12:00 pm.
The Domo Trolley will operate with an alternative route on Sunday, September 7 due to the road closure.
The parking lot at The Pavilion is reserved on Sunday, September 7 for the duration of the event.
