Canada vs. Qatar Soccer Watch Party

Join fellow fans, families, and Winnipeg's soccer community at Assiniboine Park for an unforgettable evening and outdoor watch party of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ match between Canada and Qatar. Gather at the Lyric Theatre to watch the match live on the big screen and experience the energy of a true community watch party, featuring activities and programming from local soccer organizations.
Pre-game festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. and will be hosted by the one and only Ace Burpee from 103.1 Virgin Radio. Come early to enjoy live entertainment, family-friendly activities, delicious food and beverage options, and plenty of Team Canada spirit before kickoff at 5:00 p.m.
Whether you're a devoted soccer fan or simply looking for a fun summer evening with family and friends, there's no better place to cheer on Canada!
Admission is FREE, and all ages are welcome.

Food & Beverage
Enjoy a variety of food and beverage options available for purchase throughout the event. Service begins at 4:00 p.m. and continues until approximately 15 minutes into the second half of the match.

Fan Zone Fun & Games
Arrive early and join the fun in the Fan Zone. Activities run from 4:00 p.m. until approximately 15 minutes into the second half and include:
- Music from DJ Chedda
- Bouncy houses
- Interactive soccer activities hosted by the Manitoba Soccer Association and Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association
Know Before You Go
- This is a community celebration. Unsafe, disrespectful, or disorderly behaviour may result in removal from the event site.
- Bring a blanket or collapsible lawn chair and settle in for the match. Seating is first come, first served.
- Smoking, vaping, cannabis, outside alcohol, and illegal substances are not permitted in the event area.
- Service animals on leash are welcome. Pets are discouraged. If bringing a pet, it must remain leashed, under control, and away from crowded areas.
- For everyone's safety, flag poles, umbrellas, barbecues, cooking appliances, and other potentially hazardous items are prohibited.
- Public washrooms and portable toilets are available on site.
- Limited free parking is available at The Pavilion, Nature Playground, Zoo Special Events Entrance, and the main Zoo entrance on Roblin Boulevard.
- The event may be cancelled in the event of extreme or unsafe weather conditions.
