Even though the temperatures are dropping, Assiniboine Park is a beautiful place to go on a nature walk or ride every day of the year. With so much to see, hear, and smell, there are so many delights awaiting you!
The next time you visit the Assiniboine Park Zoo, stop by the former snow leopard habitat between the Tundra Grill and McFeetors Heavy Horse Centre and say hi to some new and familiar faces – our red pandas!
Arctic foxes are found in the northern coastline of North America, Eurasia, and Greenland. To help them stay warm during the cold, arctic winters, their body shape has a low surface area to volume ratio that helps reduce their heat loss!
Tiger Bark Ficus (Ficus microcarpa) is one of the many bonsai trees featured in our display at The Leaf, Yasuragi: Gardens of Japan. On now until November 17!
