Monsters of the Abyss

Monsters of the Abyss will be open from Friday, May 15 - Monday, September 7.

Past and present collide as we explore the most famous and feared aquatic predators. 

Dive into the history of amazing prehistoric and modern-day aquatic predators and learn about their ecology and why they were so feared. Highlights include amazing fossils, unbelievable live animals, and daily educational programming. Learn about extinction-level events, and see the monsters from oceans, rivers and lakes that are still around today!

Zoo Chats: Get to know these charismatic creatures up close during our daily chats at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:30 pm. Animal interactions take place at the discretion of wildlife caretakers. Animal welfare is the highest priority. 
 

Monsters of the Abyss is located in the Doug Harvey, Jan Shute and Family Centre on the west side of the Zoo and is included with regular admission.
