Here are some of the beautiful blooms you can see right now:
Bottlebrush (Callistemon) (above) is an Australian native shrub that often grows in wet areas like creek beds or areas prone to flooding. It gets its name from its striking resemblance to a household bottle brush. This plant’s dark green leaves are covered in tiny oil glands with a mint scent.

Crepe Jasmine (Tabernaemontana divaricata), commonly called pinwheel flower, blooms primarily in the spring, but blooms can appear all year. This evergreen shrub is native to South Asia and China but can be grown as a houseplant here. These flowers also smell lovely, especially at night.
Barleria oenotheroides, also known as the Giant Yellow Shrimp Plant, has beautiful yellow flowers and can grow 4 feet tall. It is native to lowland areas of Central and South America. The Giant Yellow Shrimp Plant primarily blooms in the summer, but with high light levels like at The Leaf, it can bloom all year round.

Red Veining Indian Mallow (Abutilon striatum) has vibrant blooms resembling Chinese lanterns. The flower is edible, cooked or raw, and the sweet flavour intensifies as it matures. This evergreen shrub blooms all year long in frost-free areas. Out in the wild, it blooms from spring to fall and is very attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies.
Red-hot Poker (Kniphofia) blooms from summer to fall and is native to Africa. This plant can grow between 2 and 6 feet tall. Red-hot Poker is salt resistant, making it an excellent plant for coastal gardens. The bright yellow, nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds!
