Fun Fact: Sun Conures live in flocks of 15–30 individuals and produce high-pitched calls to communicate with members of their group.

Conservation Story: Sun Conure populations have declined in the past several decades due to the trapping of wild birds for sale in the international pet trade. After legislation was passed banning the importation of this species into foreign countries, Sun Conures are now bred in human care.
