Diet: Large, hoofed mammals, including deer, elk, moose, and bighorn sheep. Also, smaller mammals such as beavers and hares.

Fun Fact: Wolves don’t howl at the moon! Instead, they howl to strengthen social bonds and communicate with other pack members. They may also howl to defend their territory against other wolf packs.
