The Beluga Boat Field Update

We are excited to bring you an update on the ongoing Beluga Bits project. The Conservation and Research team was on the Beluga Boat in the Churchill River Estuary for 15 days in July to continue our non-invasive monitoring of beluga whales.

Discovering Manitoba's Hidden Gem: Lingonberries Arrive at the Kitchen Garden 

This summer we had an exciting opportunity to grow lingonberries in the Kitchen Garden at The Leaf as part of a partnership with the Canadian Centre for Agricultural Research in Health & Medicine (CCARM).

Field Update: Tracking Seals in Churchill

It has been approximately four months since the Conservation Team and our collaborators tagged four harbour seals near Churchill, Manitoba. Take a look at where the seals travelled and learn what the data tells us about seal habitat use.
