Life Grows at The Leaf

The Leaf is a spectacular indoor horticultural attraction at Assiniboine Park.

Visitors at The Leaf will journey through four distinct biomes; the Hartley and Heather Richardson Tropical Biome, the Mediterranean Biome, Babs Asper Display House, and the Shirley Richardson Butterfly Garden. Experience a stunning showcase of our diversity, expressed through plants that shape our lives here and across the globe.

Outdoors, explore the Gardens at The Leaf which comprises close to 30 acres of gardens and greenspace. There are six gardens to explore; the Indigenous Peoples Garden, Kitchen Garden, Sensory Garden, Performance Garden, Seasonal Garden, and The Grove.

Prairie Picnic

Inspired by a playful picnic in the Park, this display features vibrant foliage, botanically themed table settings, and whimsical touches like floating hot air balloons and mosaic teacups. Discover how the plants that nourish us also bring beauty, meaning, and community to our everyday lives. Open now until September 13.
