Conservation Story: The remaining 150-700 Blue-billed Curassows are restricted to a few small patches of pristine forest. More than 98% of their habitat has been lost as a result of agricultural development and resource extraction. Conservation initiatives focus on breeding the birds in Zoos and protecting their habitat in the wild.
