The bison is the provincial symbol of Manitoba, selected in 1870 to represent the Indigenous people who live in the area and the pioneer history of the province.
Scilla are extremely hardy and generally low maintenance. Appropriate for Manitoba springs in which temperatures can drop below freezing at night, the flowers are capable of blooming through frost.
